String functions und(ouble)quote

syntax

  • undquote(string_dataitem)

definition

undquote(string_dataitem) removes double quotes from the values of data item string_dataitem.

A value that does not begin and end with a double quote results in null. Since GeoDMS 20.22.0 that includes a value of one double quote character and nothing else. Before, such a value was read on beyond its end, into the values that follow it, and gave an unpredictable result.

attribute<string> undquoteA (ADomain) := undquote(A);
A undquoteA

'"88hallo99"' '88hallo99'
'"+)"' '+)'
'"twee woorden"' 'twee woorden'
'" test met spatie"' ' test met spatie'
