Geometric functions Get_X

syntax

  • get_x(point data item)

definition

get_x(point data item) results in a data item with the X coordinates of the argument point data item.

Since GeoDMS 20.22.0 a null point results in a null x-coordinate. Before, a null point of an integer point type (ipoint, spoint, wpoint, upoint) resulted in a number, -2147483648 for an ipoint; a null float point already resulted in null.

applies to

data item point data item with a Point value type

example

attribute<float32> Point_X (ADomain) := get_x(pointXY);
pointXY Point_X

xy(111803; 399476) 111803
