Geometric functions Get_Y

syntax

  • get_y(point data item)

definition

get_y(point data item) results in a data item with the Y coordinates of the argument point data item.

Since GeoDMS 20.22.0 a null point results in a null y-coordinate. Before, a null point of an integer point type (ipoint, spoint, wpoint, upoint) resulted in a number, -2147483648 for an ipoint; a null float point already resulted in null.

applies to

data item point data item with a Point value type

example

attribute<float32> Point_Y (ADomain) := get_y(pointXY);
pointXY Point_Y
xy(115135; 401331) 401331
xy(111803; 399476) 399476
xy(114903; 399289) 399289
xy(111353; 401729) 401729
