## How a word is said

A word's card shows how it's said, written the way a reader of your language would spell
the sounds. For readers of English this is complete. **For readers of Spanish it's in
beta:** the spelling rules haven't been checked yet by native readers from Spain, Mexico,
the Caribbean and the Southern Cone, so a respelling may look odd where you live. If one
does, [tell us](https://github.com/ScriptKittyOS/kotiko/issues/new/choose) with the word
and how you'd write it.

**v1.0.0 ships without the screen-reader pass and the voice check; the Spanish respelling
key ships as beta.** *Maintainer.* Asked how to handle the release checklist's manual checks
before tagging, the maintainer chose "automate and ship". Every check automation can do
honestly runs on the release candidate before the tag: the Firefox run-through, a server
over `http://` from Firefox, the CSV and Anki exports, keyboard-only use, zoom and forced
colours, and AMO's linter (SCR-428). What needs people moves to 1.0.x, each with its own
issue: the screen-reader pass of `docs/accessibility.md` (NVDA, VoiceOver, Orca and voice
control) and a screen-reader user and a keyboard-only user trying a day's use (SCR-842);
and the voice check of `docs/release/voice-check.md` on Windows, macOS and Linux (SCR-843). The Spanish respelling
key (`spec/lang/es/respelling.json`) is marked beta on the docs site until readers from
Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and the Southern Cone sign it off (SCR-429), as the release
checklist allows.

**The security review closes with a stop rule.** *Lead agent, delegated.* Fixes went
through rc.2, rc.3 and rc.4, each confirmed by a fresh reviewer who also found new, smaller
issues. To end the loop, the last reviewer (F, on rc.4) confirmed only the previous round's
fixes, and what it found below medium (two informational findings) is recorded in
`docs/security/review-v1.0.0.md` as accepted risks with issues (SCR-836, SCR-837). Slice
54's spec describes the rule.
