This is an automated release PR generated by release-plz that promotes zip from 9.1.3 → 9.2.0.

Changes reviewed:

  • Cargo.toml: version field bumped from 9.1.3 to 9.2.0 — correct and consistent with the PR description.
  • CHANGELOG.md: new [9.2.0] section prepended, documenting the single feature added in this release (index-free iterable ZIP reader, #1218) — format and content are correct.

No defects, security issues, or logic errors were identified. The PR is ready to merge.

Hey @Pr0methean,

Quick heads-up regarding the upcoming release:

I'm currently working on a major performance overhaul for par_extract (parallel extraction/decompression) that significantly eliminates sequential pre-scan overhead, reduces filesystem syscall roundtrips, and removes atomic cache contention to push extraction throughput to the next level.

If you'd like to bundle that into this release and can hold off for a few hours, I can have that PR ready shortly. Alternatively, if you'd prefer to land the parallel ZipWriter in this release and ship the extraction overhaul in a subsequent release (e.g. v9.3.0), that works completely fine with me too.

Let me know what fits your roadmap and release schedule best!

We can wait about 3 hours, but that's the limit.
