Why

The edgedriver package is now released from webdriverio/driver. Version 7.0.0 and later come from there (npm repository points to webdriverio/driver). This repository still gets Dependabot PRs and still has a manual npm release workflow.

Changes

  • README: a notice at the top. It links to the new package folder, the new issue tracker and the upgrade guide.
  • Remove .github/dependabot.yml and .github/workflows/update.yml (auto-merge of Dependabot PRs).
  • Remove .github/workflows/release.yml. If somebody runs it, it publishes old code to npm with the latest tag, over the versions from webdriverio/driver.
  • Remove .github/workflows/audit.yml and its README badge.
  • Keep ci.yml and expense.yml.

The package is now released from webdriverio/driver. Add a notice at the
top of the README. Remove Dependabot, its auto-merge workflow, the audit
workflow and the manual npm release workflow. A release from this
repository would publish old code as the npm "latest" version.
