Found while migrating dnp3 to bom-tools 0.3.0 (stepfunc/dnp3#450): its macOS jobs built natively without --target, and packaging failed the evidence cross-check. Without --target, cargo tree does not separate host and target features, so a dependency built with different features for a build script and for the product (tracing-core there) is missing from the tree. The cross-check caught it instead of producing a wrong SBOM.

  • State in the recipe that --target is required for every build, including native ones.
  • Link dnp3's build-evidence.sh as a complete CI example (Windows, macOS, cross).

Documentation only.
