Closes #313.
Allow
Array.pp("_, bin")(or"bin, _") to use the array’s current dtype without repeating it in the format string._resolves to the existing Dtype object at each call, retaining the existing grouping and length validation. Includes tests, manual API documentation and a release note.Validation: all 1,226 tests passed on Python 3.12 / tibs 2.0.2; the eight new regression cases failed before the change. The Sphinx HTML build passed with warnings treated as errors. Windows, macOS and other Python versions were not tested locally.
This targets the 5.x API; it does not restore the scaling feature mentioned in the original issue. Developed and tested with Codex (AI).
