psygnal publishes mypyc-compiled wheels for Linux x86_64 only, so riscv64 falls back to the pure-Python universal wheel. Mirror upstream's pypi.yml cibuildwheel job, narrowed to manylinux riscv64. The mypyc build hook is opt-in and pinned below mypy 1.20: mypy 1.20.x miscompiles psygnal 0.15.1 and importing the resulting wheel segfaults. That reproduces on macOS/arm64, so it is toolchain drift rather than an architecture problem.

psygnal0.15.1psygnal compiles its callback/signal core with mypyc. Upstream publishes those wheels for Linux x86_64 only, so riscv64 falls back to the pure-Python universal wheel.
Mirrors upstream's
pypi.yml.Differs from upstream
buildfrontend instead ofbuild[uv]- the riscv64 runner has no hostuv.Matrix: cp312/cp313/cp314 - upstream ships no free-threaded wheel.
