Summary

Converts the remaining #no-click UI icon shortcodes, in the rs/7.22/, rs/7.8/, and rs/7.4/ snapshots, to inline Markdown images sized by the CSS from #4192 (merged). Part 2 of 2 for icons in DOC-7128.

Counts: 70 icons converted in 54 files (18 in 7.22/, 28 in 7.8/, and 24 in 7.4/). No #no-click icon shortcodes are left in these snapshots. The same two classes of image as in #4192 are left alone: inline screenshots without #no-click, and the info-icon.png images.

Visible changes: the same as #4192. Icons scale to 1.5× their text, and lines or table rows holding an icon lose the extra prose-margin padding.

Verification

  • Built DOC-7128 icons-1: render inline UI icons as Markdown images sized by CSS #4192's branch and this branch under the production baseURL (/docs/latest/): both succeeded (19,664 pages), and the hook reported no missing images.
  • All 70 icons render with the same src, no width, and class img-inline, with 0 unexpected changes anywhere. No image without #no-click gained the class.
  • A scripted browser pass over all 54 affected pages: every icon renders at exactly 1.5× its text's font size, every single-line paragraph or step holding an icon keeps its normal line height (64 of 64), and every icon image loads.
  • Codemod: 70 converted, and no #no-click shortcodes left in the 54 files. In every changed file, the text with all images stripped is byte-identical before and after.

Note

Low Risk
Documentation-only markup migration with no product or API changes; rendering depends on #4192’s CSS/hook already in the stack.

Overview
Part 2 of DOC-7128: finishes migrating Redis Enterprise Software docs in the rs/7.22/, rs/7.8/, and rs/7.4/ version snapshots from Hugo {{< image ... #no-click >}} shortcodes to inline Markdown images (![alt](/images/...#no-click)).

70 icons across 54 files are updated—cluster node actions, database overflow menus, edit/delete/checkmark buttons, warning status icons, and similar UI affordances in procedural steps. Prose and steps are unchanged; only the markup for those inline icons changes. Icons pick up the img-inline class from the Goldmark render hook (from stacked PR #4192) instead of shortcode width/class attributes.

No #no-click image shortcodes remain in these three snapshots. Larger screenshots and non-#no-click images are untouched.

Base automatically changed from DOC-7128-inline-icons to main October 2, 2026 15:06
Runs build/migrate_image_shortcodes.py --inline-icons over 54 files in the
rs/7.22/, rs/7.8/, and rs/7.4/ snapshots, converting 70 #no-click icon
shortcodes to inline Markdown images sized by the CSS rule from icons-1.
Stacked on icons-1, which adds the hook class and the CSS.

Verified against an icons-1 build under the production baseURL: all 70 render
with the same src, no width, and class img-inline, with no other image
changes. A scripted browser pass over all 54 affected pages found every icon at
1.5x its text size and every single-line block (64) at its normal line height.
