Why
The
fundingsection of thepackage.jsondocs only shows examples (a string, an object withtypeandurl, and an array of them). It does not explain:
typeacceptsurlaccepts (e.g. ismailto:allowed?)What
I read the code and documented the actual behavior:
urlmust be anhttp:/https:URL with a host (libnpmfund#L26-L39).typeis free-form and only used in thenpm fund <pkg>message (fund.js#L207-L212).npm fundlisting and count (libnpmfund#L22-L24).I also fixed an incorrect statement: with multiple URLs,
npm fund <pkg>does not visit the first one but asks for--which(fund.js#L187-L204).
