Add TinyApi provider

Port of the TinyApi provider from upstream CodexBar v0.74.1. Upstream source is the spec:
Sources/CodexBarCore/Resources/Plugins/tinyapi.js, its provider descriptor, and its plugin tests.

Behavior

  • GET https://tinyapi.rest/api/user/credits with browser cookies or a manual Cookie header.
  • Candidates: the manual header only when set; otherwise every browser session in order. 401/403 moves to the next candidate, other failures stop.
  • Section "Credits": "Available credits" as <number> credits (no currency). Login method "Browser session".
  • Errors use upstream text, including "TinyApi session expired. Sign in again or paste a fresh Cookie header." and "TinyApi cookies are disabled." when the source is Off.

Wiring

ProviderId variant and metadata, provider module under rust/src/providers/, factory arm,
token-account match arm, settings entry, provider icon (upstream SVG), provider catalog,
README table row, and a docs/PROVIDERS.md section.

Windows difference: the sign-in hint reads all supported Windows browsers instead of naming Chrome.

Checks (local full-checks.sh on the tree pushed as beee4241b)

  • cargo fmt --all -- --check: clean
  • cargo test --manifest-path rust/Cargo.toml: 4164 passed, 1 ignored
  • cargo clippy --manifest-path rust/Cargo.toml --all-targets -- -D warnings: clean
  • cargo test --manifest-path apps/desktop-tauri/src-tauri/Cargo.toml: 707 passed
  • cargo clippy --manifest-path apps/desktop-tauri/src-tauri/Cargo.toml --all-targets -- -D warnings: clean
  • pnpm test, tsc, pnpm run build (apps/desktop-tauri): pass

Review follow-up (beee4241b)

  • Body read errors keep their transport cause; oversized bodies still report the missing-balance message.
  • Local HTTP fixtures: a 401 on the first browser session moves to the second (cookies in order), and a 429 stops at the first.
  • Cookie source defaults to Automatic with an Automatic / Manual / Off picker.
  • Rust clippy was re-run after the fixture's let _ writes became .expect(...): clean.
  • Frontend: 1105 Vitest tests passed; tsc and pnpm run build pass.

Windows proof

Recaptured at beee4241b (W:/mac-parity/report/provider-tinyapi/proof-beee4241b/COMPARISON.md): tray and 401 text unchanged; Settings shows the new Cookie source picker (Automatic / Manual / Disabled) with Manual selected. Its Visible usage items still lists a separate "Credits" toggle for the card-hidden window, which #845 fixes. Earlier capture below for reference.
Fresh proof build from the pre-review head, captured with mock routes using the upstream test fixtures
(tray panel, 401 error, Settings > Providers). Comparison: report/provider-tinyapi/proof-54acbefb0/COMPARISON.md.
No Mac capture yet; values are checked against the upstream plugin tests.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features
    • Added TinyApi as a supported provider for checking available credits through browser sessions or a manually supplied cookie.
    • Added TinyApi branding and a credits display that formats balances to up to two decimal places.
    • Added options to automatically use browser sessions, manually provide a cookie, or turn off cookie access. Automatic mode can try another browser session after an expired session.
  • Documentation
    • Documented TinyApi credit checks, cookie options, and how expired sessions, rate limits, and service errors are handled.

📝 Walkthrough

TinyApi is added as a provider. It fetches available credits using browser session cookies or a manually supplied Cookie header, validates and formats the response, and adds provider display and documentation support.

Changes: TinyApi provider

Layer / File(s) Summary
Provider identity and registration
rust/src/core/provider.rs, rust/src/core/provider_factory.rs, rust/src/core/token_accounts.rs, rust/src/providers/mod.rs
Adds TinyApi identifiers, names, cookie domain, and brand color. Registers provider construction and marks pace and token-account support as unsupported.
Cookie-source settings
rust/src/settings.rs, rust/src/settings/tests.rs, apps/desktop-tauri/src-tauri/src/commands/provider_settings.rs, apps/desktop-tauri/src-tauri/src/commands/session_cookie_scope_tests.rs
Sets TinyApi’s default cookie source to auto and adds auto, manual, and off options. Tests cover routing and cookie handling for each source.
Cookie-based credit fetching
rust/src/providers/tinyapi/*
Adds cookie candidate selection and HTTP requests to the credits endpoint. The provider validates responses, maps HTTP statuses to errors, and formats valid balances. Tests cover parsing, provider metadata, source selection, and status handling.
Provider display and documentation
apps/desktop-tauri/src/components/providers/providerIcons*, apps/desktop-tauri/src/test/providerCatalog.ts, README.md, docs/PROVIDERS.md
Adds the TinyApi icon and test catalog entry. Documents cookie-source behavior, response handling, and displayed credit details.

Full details: Provider Data Stays Siloed

Explanation

The current PR still adds provider-specific branching outside the allowed locations. In rust/src/core/token_accounts.rs, TokenAccountSupport::for_provider matches ProviderId::TinyApi and returns None (diff line 455). In rust/src/settings.rs, Settings::cookie_source matches ProviderId::TinyApi and selects "auto" (diff line 1213). In rust/src/core/provider.rs, multiple shared matches add TinyApi-specific cookie-domain, display, CLI parsing, and brand-color behavior (including lines 531, 650, and 1362). These are changed-code matches on a specific ProviderId outside rust/src/providers/<name>/ and rust/src/core/provider_factory.rs.

Resolution

Remove TinyApi-specific branches from shared code outside the allowed locations. Provide cookie-source defaults, token-account capability, and provider metadata through provider-owned or generic capability mechanisms, then consume those values without matching on ProviderId::TinyApi in rust/src/settings.rs, rust/src/core/token_accounts.rs, or other shared files. Keep provider construction in rust/src/core/provider_factory.rs and provider behavior in rust/src/providers/tinyapi/.

transport and timeout errors retain their cause or use a distinct error instead
of being reported as invalid responses. Keep oversized-body errors mapped to
invalid_response().

Review comments at @rust/src/providers/tinyapi/tests.rs:
- Around line 230-280: Add a deterministic `fetch_web` test in the TinyAPI tests
that uses a local HTTP fixture returning 401 or 403 for the first cookie and 200
for the second, then assert success and that both cookies are tried in order.
Update `TinyApiProvider` to accept the fixture URL and use it for requests so
the test never contacts the live endpoint.
