Summary

Drops official support for Python 3.8 as requested in #93, as Python 3.8 has reached end of life.

  • Updated Python dependency constraint in pyproject.toml from ^3.8.1 to ^3.9.
  • Removed "3.8" from the GitHub Actions CI matrix in .github/workflows/python-app.yml.

Closes #93

Verification

  • Ran full pytest test suite (129 passed).
  • Ran CI flake8 checks (flake8 . --count --select=E9,F63,F7,F82 --show-source --statistics).
  • Validated git diff and whitespace with git diff --check.
