Follow-up to #741.

What changes

  • Polkit paragraph: the conditions (onboarding and settings) mention the polkit policy only when this install carries the passwordless update helper (signed deb/rpm), so AppImage, pacman and other platforms never see it. The paragraph no longer starts with "on Linux".
  • Microsoft Store (MSIX): the Store updates the package itself, so the conditions leave out the startup update check sentence, and the status block in General hides its checkbox.
  • How: CONDITIONS.md marks those paragraphs with <!-- if:NAME -->…<!-- endif --> blocks. ConditionsText drops the ones that do not apply, through a new transform parameter of AccentMarkdownView. InstallInfo exposes selfUpdates (not AppX) and hasPasswordlessUpdateHelper.

Testing

  • ConditionsTextTest covers the block filter, plus the settings tests. detekt is clean.
  • Not tested on a real MSIX or deb/rpm install: detection relies on ExecutableRuntime.isAppX() and hasLinuxUpdateHelper(), which the update service already uses for these same cases.

The conditions mention the polkit policy only when the install carries
the passwordless update helper (signed deb/rpm), without naming Linux,
and the startup update check only outside the Microsoft Store package,
which the Store updates itself. The status block hides the update check
checkbox there too.

CONDITIONS.md marks those paragraphs with <!-- if:NAME --> blocks, which
ConditionsText drops when they do not apply to this install.
