XRAY-159762 - Excludes patterns for Static-SCA generating SBOM - #931
Static SCA now sends the exclusions flag to the scan plugin when no config profile is set
With a profile, the profile's exclusions still win, and a debug line notes a custom flag that was dropped
Patterns with a leading ./ or Windows backslashes are cleaned up before they are sent
Heads-up
A scan with no custom flag now applies the default exclusion list, including the test pattern, the same way the older scan did
Git audit without a profile honors the flag too; Frogbot still uses its profile
Summary
Bug Fixes
Scan exclusions now follow the active configuration profile when one is used; custom CLI exclusions are discarded, with a log message explaining this behavior.
SCA exclusions are normalized for consistent path matching. Default exclusions are used when no target exclusions are provided, while explicitly empty profile exclusions remain empty.
Auto reviews are disabled on base/target branches other than the default branch.

Walkthrough
The audit command now logs when custom CLI exclusions are replaced by config-profile exclusions. The Xray scanner selects exclusions from central config, target settings, or default SCA patterns, then normalizes the selected patterns.
Audit target creation logs discarded custom CLI exclusions when a config profile supplies exclusions. Tests check the target exclusion and logging behavior for custom, default, and empty CLI exclusions.
Scanner exclusion selection and normalization sca/bom/xrayplugin/xraylibbom.go, sca/bom/xrayplugin/xraylibbom_test.go
The scanner selects central-config exclusions when central-config modules are present. Otherwise, it uses target exclusions or default SCA patterns. It normalizes the selected patterns, and table-driven tests cover the selection and normalization cases.
The exclusion behavior has no other established defect, but the changed code fails Static-Check. Fix that validation failure before merging.

Explanation
Docstring coverage is 50.00% which is insufficient. The required threshold is 80.00%. Docstring coverage is scoped to functions touched by this diff with cyclomatic complexity of at least 2. Documentation-only edits and deletions within surviving functions are included; unchanged diff context and fully deleted functions are excluded. Analyzed 4 functions across 4 files.
Resolution
Write docstrings for the functions missing them to satisfy the coverage threshold.

- Line 151: Replace the if/else-if selection chain in the exclusion-pattern
logic with a switch, preserving the existing branch order and behavior: central

otherwise.
