The goal of this project is to create multiple reproducible paths for setting up your desktop environment and favorite tools.
Dotfiles are great for capturing user preferences, and this project will include a path to integrate them — but the focus here is on creating a scriptable, portable setup method that fits in your pocket.
I’ve had more than my fair share of system failures on machines I relied on daily.
Even with backups, I often found myself frustrated by the tedious reinstallation of tools and reconfiguration of environments.
This project is designed to solve that problem — providing a portable, automated bootstrap for rebuilding your environment anywhere, anytime.
- ✅ Create an Arduino sketch for Digispark that launches a bootstrap script from a remote repository
- ✅ Develop a bootstrap script tailored to my workflow
- 🧰 Make it simple for others to adapt or create their own workflows
- 📖 Provide a guide and examples for customization
All core components are working — a basic proof of concept is live and functional.
Further refinements, documentation, and additional automation steps are coming soon.

All scripts required to bootstrap and configure a system are located in the bootstrap/ directory.
These scripts form the backbone of this project — they automate environment setup, system configuration, and dotfile deployment.
Definition:
Bootstrap — In this context, a series of scripts that automate installation and configuration of your working environment, making your system self-reproducible.
