Resolved — merged current master into the branch; the conflicts were only the new boxlang/rustcfml engine lines next to my edits in the four BCrypt/SCrypt files plus the function listings. Should merge cleanly now. |

Updated — merged current master again; the conflict was just the function lists after foundeo/cfdocs#1743 went in. Should be clean now. |

Documents the unified password hashing API that Adobe ColdFusion 2025 Update 8 introduced:
passwordHashGenerate()andpasswordHashVerify(). They support Argon2 (default, Argon2id), BCrypt and SCrypt.Adobe documents both functions in the guide Hash and verify passwords in ColdFusion, not in the CFML function reference, so that guide is the
docslink. Parameters, options and examples follow that page.The same guide deprecates
generateBCryptHash(),verifyBCryptHash(),generateSCryptHash()andverifySCryptHash(). This PR adds a deprecation note and a related link to the new functions in those four entries.The schema allows only numeric versions, so
minimum_versionis2025and the notes say "Update 8".
