Follow-up of #140

The last PR only allowed custom validators for loading and writing. changePassphrase does both in one method, therefore it should also accept a custom validator.

🟡 Changes recommended

Structural validity must be checked before custom validators run to uphold their documented contract and prevent unchecked exceptions.

What changed in this PR

Extends custom masterkey validation to passphrase changes, completing the loading and writing support introduced in #140.

Changes:

  • Adds custom-validator overloads while preserving default validation for existing callers.
  • Validates replacement scrypt parameters before key derivation when the block size changes.
  • Adds validator invocation and rejection tests, plus API documentation and a changelog entry.

Walkthrough

MasterkeyFileAccess adds byte-array and stream overloads that accept a custom validator. Existing overloads use the default validator. The custom validator checks the original masterkey before key derivation. If its scrypt block size differs from the default, validation also checks a copy with the default block size. Re-encryption retains the original scrypt cost parameter and uses the default block size. Tests cover validator calls, exception propagation, and successful key restoration.

Malformed masterkey files can fail with an unexpected exception during passphrase changes. The impact is narrow, but the input check should be added before merging if practical.

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win

Reject invalid masterkey files before calling the validator.

For JSON such as {"foo":42}, MasterkeyFile.read can return a file with missing required fields. This call passes that file to a validator documented to receive a structurally valid file. If the validator accepts it, unlock throws an unchecked IllegalArgumentException instead of the documented IOException. Check original.isValid() and throw IOException before invoking the validator, as load(InputStream, ...) does at Line 233. (raw.githubusercontent.com)
