What changes

  • bite_proof/report.html is now written at the end of every run. It's a single page you open in a browser:
    • Counts at the top: commits checked, held, no test guards them, couldn't check. After a paid run it also shows how many of the tested claims were a false "done".
    • One row per commit, in plain words, with the reason when a commit couldn't be checked.
    • Commit links to GitHub when the repo's origin is on GitHub.
    • Light and dark mode. Commit subjects are HTML-escaped.
  • The terminal prints where the report is at the end of the run.
  • --help now shows bite --free and the other commands, not python recent.py. The help still says python recent.py for anyone running Bite from a clone.
  • The README mentions the report.

Checked

  • Self-test: 60/60 pass, including 3 new report checks: the report is written and named, an unguarded commit is shown as such, and subjects are escaped.
  • Ran --free --last 15 --all on Bite itself and looked at the page in light and dark mode.

Each run now writes bite_proof/report.html: counts at the top (checked,
held, no test guards them, couldn't check, false "done"), then one row
per commit in plain words, with links to the commits on GitHub. It works
in light and dark mode and escapes commit subjects. --help now shows the
bite command instead of python recent.py. Three self-test checks cover
the report.
