- Line 588: Update the staged station-file flow around os.fchmod to apply the
recorded uid and gid from record["station"] before os.fsync. Include ownership
in the pre-publication staging checks and post-publication verification
alongside the existing mode checks, so ownership mismatches are refused rather
than reported as imported.

Magic 0.5.2 normally saves zero bytes when no gear stations remain. Add an explicit stopped import for that exact legacy representation, requiring an allowlisted producer JAR, a fresh checkpoint, retained lineage evidence and an exact metadata/content baseline. Other empty or damaged documents retain their runtime hold.
The helper keeps verified original bytes and a durable attestation/plan before publication, preserves mode/owner/group, then records success only after the canonical empty mapping verifies. Matching owner/group IDs are left unchanged. Runtime code and the published JAR are unchanged.
Validation: 41 Python tests; 450/450 stale-baseline repeats on ext4 under umasks 0027, 0022 and 0002; allowlist mutation negative controls; actual 0.5.2 CLI preview/apply/replay; actual 0.6.0 producer refusal; actual published 0.6.0 reads the output as zero stations without writes or histories. All 246 runtime classes remain identical.
Current CI runs Maven and artifact validation; it does not run the recovery suite. The operator must run the Python suite at the merged SHA before use. Fresh full review and current CI remain required.
