…main The roboticsknowledgebase.com domain is no longer ours. GitHub Pages was still configured with it as a custom domain, so every request to roboticsknowledgebase.github.io returned a 301 to the third party now hosting that domain. - Delete CNAME so Pages drops the custom domain and serves at roboticsknowledgebase.github.io (an org site, so no baseurl needed). - Point _config.yml url at roboticsknowledgebase.github.io, which fixes canonical tags, Open Graph URLs, sitemap.xml and feed.xml. - Rewrite the 50 hardcoded https://roboticsknowledgebase.com links across 22 pages to root-relative paths so they no longer send readers offsite and stay correct on any host. Verified with a local production build: 276 pages, zero remaining .com references in _site, and /, /wiki/, /docs/, /assets/css/main.css, /sitemap.xml and /feed.xml all serve 200.
These links were already broken before the domain change, but they were written as absolute roboticsknowledgebase.com URLs, so the PR validator treated them as external and skipped them. Converting them to internal paths brought them into scope and CI started failing on them. - troubleshooting-ubuntu-dual-boot.md: 'upgrading-ubuntu-kenel' was a typo for the existing upgrading-ubuntu-kernel page. - stream-rviz.md: four links pointed at its own sections as if they were separate pages. They are now in-page anchors. - roslibjs.md: same, pointing into stream-rviz from another page.
optitrack-mocap.md linked "Motion Capture for Robotics" at /mocap, a path that has never existed in this repo or on the live site. The folder has a second OptiTrack page, optitrack-motion-capture.md, covering external position estimation with the same hardware. That is almost certainly what the See Also meant to reach, and the two pages did not reference each other at all.

Why
We no longer own
roboticsknowledgebase.com. It expired in August 2026 and was bought bya third party, who rebuilt our homepage from Internet Archive snapshots and is now hosting
it on their own server. Only their homepage works — every deep path redirects back to it.
What this changes
CNAME— deleted. Keeps the dead domain from being reapplied on a future deploy._config.yml—urlnow points athttps://roboticsknowledgebase.github.io. Thisregenerates every canonical tag, every
og:url, sitemap.xml, andfeed.xml. Right nowall 276 pages tell search engines the authoritative copy lives on the squatter's domain,
which hands them our accumulated link authority.
22 content files — the 50 hardcoded
https://roboticsknowledgebase.com/...links arenow root-relative (
/wiki/tools/docker/). Previously a reader clicking a cross-referencelanded on a stranger's homepage. Root-relative also means these keep working if we move to
a CMU-owned domain later.
7 broken internal links — these were already broken before the domain change, but were
written as absolute URLs, so the PR validator treated them as external and skipped them.
Making them internal brought them into scope:
upgrading-ubuntu-kenel→upgrading-ubuntu-kernel(typo, page exists)stream-rvizlinks that pointed at its own sections as if they were separate pages →in-page anchors
/mocap→/wiki/state-estimation/optitrack-motion-capture/. That path never existed. The folder has a second OptiTrack page covering the same hardware, which is almost
certainly what the See Also meant to reach.
