Closes #91

Restyles the MkDocs Material site and the Doxygen API pages with the softer warm palette derived from the project banner (res/Banner_Web.png):

Role Light (default) Dark (slate)
Primary (top bar, nav) maroon #7f2a19 maroon #7f2a19
Accent (links) coral #b84e38 salmon #e8917a
Dark variant #5a1c10 #5a1c10
Tints #faf1ed #f0d9cf #e2bfb0 #d19e8a slate neutrals kept

Changes:

  • res/doxygen-material.css — remaps the Doxygen 1.18+ CSS custom properties from the indigo Material palette to the banner palette (light scheme) and to the same brand colors on the site's slate neutrals (dark scheme).
  • docs/overrides/main.css (new) — overrides the Material --md-primary-, --md-accent-, --md-typeset-a-color custom properties per color scheme.
  • mkdocs.yml — sets the banner-derived palette entries for the default/slate schemes and attaches the override stylesheet via top-level extra_css.

Why the extra stylesheet: Material for MkDocs 9.x only ships prebuilt palette rules for the named Material colors, so custom hex values in theme.palette are silently ignored (verified against the 9.7.7 templates/asset bundle). The overrides therefore set the CSS custom properties directly; the palette entries still drive the data-md-color-* page attributes used for scheme switching.

Verified locally with the versions pinned by the docs workflow (mkdocs 1.6.1, mkdocs-material 9.7.7, doxygen 1.18.0 in CI / 1.9.8 locally):

  • mkdocs build --strict passes; site/overrides/main.css is linked after the theme stylesheets and contains the maroon/coral/salmon variables for both schemes.
  • Doxygen build succeeds and the generated docs/api output references the updated doxygen-material.css.
  • Contrast: coral on white 5.0:1, salmon on slate 6.6:1 (both WCAG AA).

Sample colors from res/Banner_Web.png and apply them to both docs surfaces:

- res/doxygen-material.css: remap the Doxygen 1.18+ CSS custom properties
from indigo to the warm maroon/coral/salmon palette in the light
scheme and on the slate neutrals in the dark scheme.
- docs/overrides/main.css (new, attached via theme extra_css): override
  the Material --md-primary-/--md-accent-/--md-typeset- custom
properties, because Material 9.x ships prebuilt palette rules for the
named colors only and silently ignores custom hex values.
- mkdocs.yml: set the banner-derived palette entries for the
default/slate schemes and attach the override stylesheet.

Verified with a strict local MkDocs build (mkdocs 1.6.1 +
mkdocs-material 9.7.7, the versions pinned in the docs workflow) and a
local Doxygen build using the generated HTML_EXTRA_STYLESHEET.
