Alien::SDL3 - Build and install SDL3, SDL3_mixer, SDL3_image, and SDL3_ttf

SYNOPSIS

DESCRIPTION

Alien::SDL3 acquires libsdl3, libsdl3_mixer, libsdl3_image, and libsdl3_ttf via xrepo in a single build. It is a subclass of Alien::Xrepo::Base.

METHODS

package_name( )

my $package = Alien::SDL3->package_name;

Returns the primary xrepo package name, libsdl3.

package_names( )

my @packages = Alien::SDL3->new->package_names;

Returns the xrepo package names installed by this distribution: libsdl3, libsdl3_mixer, libsdl3_image, and libsdl3_ttf.

install_opts( )

Options passed to Alien::Xrepo when each package is installed during the Build process.

package_infos( )

my @infos = Alien::SDL3->new->package_infos;

Returns an Alien::Xrepo::PackageInfo object for each installed package.

cflags( )

Compiler flags for all four libraries.

libs( )

Linker flags for all four libraries.

ffi_libs( )

Absolute paths to the shared library of each installed package.

dynamic_libs( )

The library files for all installed packages.

package_error( $name )

my $error = $alien->package_error('libsdl3_ttf');

If a package failed to build and install (it is recorded as an error in ConfigData rather than aborting the build), returns its error message, otherwise undef.

missing_packages( )

my @missing = $alien->missing_packages;

Returns the package names that failed to install, so FFI wrappers can skip (or degrade around) a shared library that was never built. When that happens, the failed package is also excluded from package_infos, cflags, libs, ffi_libs, and dynamic_libs.
