Draft. Do not merge or publish yet.

init now does the multi-tool setup from #139 and saves the launch command the way #140 does. It detects Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and OpenCode and writes a config for each one you pick.

Fixes:

  1. Docs match the new init, and they note it isn't in npm 2.2.0 yet.
  2. map builds the index on a fresh project, so it no longer reports 0 files.
  3. Adds --version / -v.
  4. Adds a Codex setup line (codex mcp add codebase-context -- npx -y codebase-context).
  5. A weak search result now explains itself and suggests a narrower next step.

Tests: type-check passes and 679/679 tests pass.

Still open: re-running the 5 dogfood questions, a Windows install check, memory use on a mid-size repo, and search quality. #139 and #140 are left as they are.

Tracked in IdeaSpine: https://github.com/PatrickSys/ideaspine/issues/17

Init configures Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and OpenCode together and saves the Node binary plus the package file from the npx cache. map indexes before it prints, --version prints the package version, and a low-confidence search tells the agent a weak result is not proof the code is missing.

Closing this superseded draft because its commit is included in #131's public branch, alongside the publication and source-validity fixes. The installed candidate recorded on #131 exercised the Windows install and five original Express questions: frozen retrieval found an expected file in the top five for 14/21 queries, with Hono peak sampled server RSS of 1.516 GB and an explicit graph limitation. PR131 remains a draft while its final repair is validated; nothing is being claimed merged or released. PR140's extra client targets and HTTP setup remain separate. This branch is being retained.
