Why

Theres a need for a identifyAndTokenize, a publisher-facing entry point that identifies an id and merges the tokenized EIDs into the rolling cache.

What Changed

  • Tokenizes outside the control group and merges the result into OPTABLE_RESOLVED, keeping cached EIDs from other sources, then dispatches optable-targeting:change.
  • Returns the stale UID2 sources the merge found, so callers can chain refreshStaleUid2s.
  • Runs once per id per session, so signing in as a different id in the same tab resolves that id. optableForceTokenize re-runs it and a failed tokenize clears the guard.
  • Never rejects: a failed identify, a malformed id, or a corrupt cache are handled rather than surfacing in the publisher's page.

How to Test

  • Tested
  • Docs updated

Notes

  • Breaking change
