+Ziggie began his career as an aerospace engineer developing safety-critical
+aviation software. He later moved into Bitcoin development through an OpenSats
+grant to contribute to [LND], an implementation of the [Lightning Network](/topics/lightning).
+Today, he is one of LND's primary maintainers and works at [Lightning Labs].
+
+His work on LND centers on security analysis and database architecture. He is
+driving the effort to move LND's persistence layer toward fully native SQL,
+including leading the implementation of its SQL-backed payments database.
+
+Before joining the board, Ziggie served on the [Layer 2 evaluation committee](/selection),
+reviewing grant applications and progress reports for projects across the
+Layer 2 ecosystem.
