Last stop before tagging 0.6.0 (desktop widgets plus the R13 redesign; 0.5.0 and 0.5.1 stay pre-releases).

Review fixes (SharedShelfPublisher)

  • A slow thumbnail export (for example a cloud file downloading) could write back the snapshot of a widget that had been withdrawn in the meantime, because it turned sensitive or was disabled or removed. Each widget now has a generation counter, and each publish cancels the export before it. Tests cover both the late export after a withdrawal and the normal path.
  • The shared trees still held local file paths, actions, and drag payloads. They are now scrubbed, and path-like node ids are hashed in item keys. Tested: no path appears in the encoded JSON.
  • A withdrawal now reloads widgets at once instead of waiting out the 15-minute throttle.
  • Thumbnails are removed when a widget no longer shows files. A failed index write is retried.

Release prep

  • RELEASE_NOTES retitled to 0.6.0, with a Desktop widgets section on top.
  • APP_VERSION and the CLI version set to 0.6.0.
  • check-release-versions.py and sync-strings.sh --check pass. Korean coverage is complete in both catalogs.

swift test: 0 failures. Both extension schemes build in Release.

From the pre-release review:
- A thumbnail export still running when a widget turned sensitive (or
was disabled or removed) wrote its old snapshot back afterwards. Each
publish now bumps a per-widget generation and cancels the export
before it; a late export that is no longer current writes nothing,
and a cancelled one leaves the image folder alone.
- The shared view trees still carried file paths, open/copy actions,
and drag payloads. They are scrubbed before writing, and path-like
node ids are hashed in item keys.
- A withdrawal reloads widgets at once instead of after the 15-minute
  window.
- A widget that stops showing files drops its thumbnails, and a failed
  index write is tried again.
