Added model components that combine learned transformations with residual projections and produce ordered quantile estimates around a median.
Quantile outputs are constructed to remain monotonic across the configured levels. Configuration requires a level of 0.5.
The module adds ResidualBlock for residual MLP projections and MonotoneQuantiles for constructing ordered quantile outputs from a median input.
Changes: Timestral blocks
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Residual MLP block sdm/models/timestral/block.py
Adds ResidualBlock, which sums a two-layer SiLU MLP projection and a linear projection of the input. Its constructor supports bias, device, and dtype options.
Adds MonotoneQuantiles, which uses the level 0.5 as the median and constructs lower and upper outputs with cumulative softplus-scaled widths. Initialization fails if 0.5 is absent from levels.
Some accepted inputs can silently produce non-monotone quantiles. Validate level order and the width factor before merging.

Full details: Docstring Coverage
Explanation
Docstring coverage is 0.00% which is insufficient. The required threshold is 80.00%. Docstring coverage is scoped to functions touched by this diff with cyclomatic complexity of at least 2. Documentation-only edits and deletions within surviving functions are included; unchanged diff context and fully deleted functions are excluded. Analyzed 1 functions across 1 files.
Resolution
Write docstrings for the functions missing them to satisfy the coverage threshold.

Document the tensor shapes in the quantile calculation.
Add short shape comments for inc, up, and down. The reverse cumulative sum makes their last-dimension sizes difficult to check against the concatenation. As per path instructions, “expect short shape comments on complex tensor operations.” (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Add brief shape comments beside the quantile calculations for `inc`, `up`, and
`down`, identifying that `inc` retains the input tensor’s shape and that the
cumulative-sum outputs have their respective sliced last-dimension sizes. Keep
the comments concise and consistent with the concatenation that follows.

positive before assigning self.width_factor or computing self.median_index, so
quantile widths cannot reverse or produce negative increments.
