Please remove proprietary components

Hi @pH-7,

we're currently doing a cleanup of the repo over at IzzyOnDroid. Your app is one candidate for potential removal, as it did not get updated recently AND (more important) has proprietary components embedded.
From Izzy's scan, it's apparently GMS and Vision (just ask if you need more details).

We would be happy to keep your app with a new non-proprietary update in the repository.
However, if you decided to abandon this project or if the changes would be too much of a work, that's also fine (but will result in removal).

Either way, just keep us updated with your decision. If we don't hear anything from you in the next 4 weeks, we will probably remove the app from IzzyOnDroid.

FWIW, I've brought that up 6 years ago. Quoting you from the issue, @pH-7

Concerning GMS, yes it is needed. It's used for Google Mobile Vision for the OCR/Barcode features.

For Barcode, there are several alternatives available (used by many FOSS apps for their QR/Barcode scanning). Concerning OCR, I also find 3 apps in our repo providing that without proprietary components.

If it's an option for you, I could check for some pointers to provide you with.

I guess no answer means the app is no longer maintained, and there are no plans to address the issue, @pH-7? We'll then go and remove it from our repository. We can list it again of course should the issue be solved, and a new release available.

As the 4 weeks mentioned in Bene's initial post have passed without even a response, the app will now be removed from the IzzyOnDroid repo with the next sync around 7 pm UTC. No bad feelings of course – and as I wrote, we can re-establish it when this issue is solved.
