Review comments at @developers/ARCHITECTURE.md:
- Line 35: Update the selector comparison description to clarify that
useStateStore compares only keys in the cached selection and can reuse the
cached object when the selector adds keys; state that selector results must
maintain a stable key set.
- Around line 508-516: Remove the obsolete Giphy attachment keys entry from the
“Known quirks & open work” section; the current implementation already stores
Giphy attachments in typeMap.giphy and assigns unique keys.

…que keys Giphy attachments were pushed into the `card` group while keyed with the length of the always-empty `giphy` group, so every giphy got the key `giphy-0`. A message with more than one giphy triggered the React duplicate-key warning and could reconcile the wrong element. Push them into the `giphy` group that ATTACHMENT_GROUPS_ORDER already reserves, so keys are unique and giphys render in their intended position, before link-preview cards.

🎯 Goal
A message with more than one giphy attachment rendered every giphy with the same React key,
giphy-0. React loggedEncountered two children with the same key, giphy-0for every such message and could reconcile the wrong giphy element when the message updated.Giphys also rendered in the wrong place. They were mixed into the link-preview (card) group instead of the
giphygroup thatATTACHMENT_GROUPS_ORDERreserves for them (media → giphy → card → …).🛠 Implementation details
renderGroupedAttachments(src/components/Attachment/Attachment.tsx) pushed giphy attachments intotypeMap.cardbut built their key fromtypeMap.giphy.length. Since nothing was ever pushed intotypeMap.giphy, that length was always0.Giphys are now pushed into
typeMap.giphy:giphy-0,giphy-1, …);ATTACHMENT_GROUPS_ORDERintends.The
giphygroup and thecardpush were introduced together in #2934, so this restores the original intent rather than changing the group order.Tests added in
Attachment.test.tsx:Both fail without the fix and pass with it.
release-v14has the same bug (Attachment.tsx:135); I'll open a separate PR for v14.🎨 UI Changes
Only messages that combine giphy attachments with a link preview, or carry several giphys, are affected. The
/giphycommand produces a single giphy per message and renders unchanged. How to reproduce: send a message with a link preview and several giphy attachments, e.g. from the console of the vite example:
