Overview

GS News Scroller is a plugin for GetSimple CMS that allows you to create, customize, and manage multiple independent news ticker scrollers[cite: 1]. Each scroller can have its own speed, scroll direction (left or right), background color, text color, title color, and font sizing[cite: 1].

Features

• Independent Scrollers: Create and manage multiple news tickers with unique IDs (e.g., sidebar-news, homepage-ticker).
• Custom Styling: Configure speeds, directions, background colors, title/text colors, image heights, and font sizes per scroller.
• Flexible Items: Add news titles, text content, optional target links, and images/icons to each news item.
• Pause on Hover: Scrollers automatically pause when hovered over for better readability.

Usage

1. Template Tag (for theme files)

To display a news scroller directly inside your theme template files (e.g., sidebar.php or template.php), use:

2. Page Shortcode (for content editor)

To embed a news scroller directly into any page content, use the built-in shortcode:
