Node 24 to 26, in the Renovate config validator and the ci-node/ci-astro templates.
- Upstream: Node 26 removes the deprecated internal
_stream_*modules, changes Readable buffering, enables Temporal and moves to V8 14.6. It entered LTS on 28 Oct 2026, so using it in CI is reasonable. - This repo: these jobs only run
npx renovate-config-validator,pnpm install --frozen-lockfile, and lint/build/Lighthouse vianpm install -g @lhci/cli. None of that touches the removed APIs. The template files are not run here. Downstream repos copying them inherit the bump, so their own toolchain needs Node 26 support. - CI: nothing has failed yet. "Validate config (strict)", the one job that actually runs on Node 26, and zizmor/opengrep were still running when I looked. A failure in "Validate config (strict)" would be worth a look.
Nit: the pinned setup-node SHA is unchanged and needs no action.
