CHANGELOG 2.3.0: no line for the Generators fixes #102 and #106, or for SuperStrong.Types and the README introduction (#122) #154
Found by a pre-release sweep of release/2.3.0 @ 99c6032 (the CHANGELOG check): each PR merged into release/2.3.0 was compared with the lines of ## 2.3.0 — Unreleased.
Problem
At the tag, the section becomes the GitHub release's notes and every package's nuget.org release notes (CONTRIBUTING, "Releasing", step 2), and it freezes there. CONTRIBUTING also says that "User-visible changes get a changelog entry." Three merged changes a consumer can see have no line:
Generators: CodeAnnotations builds its attribute constructions when they are used, not in static fields. That ends the design-time leak the Metalama maintainer reported, in an IDE that keeps its process across edits.
Generators: every generated TryParse(string?, IFormatProvider?, out) ends at its return. The unreachable tail is gone from the woven code, which the READMEs now show.
The comparison adds SuperStrong.Types, and the root README introduces TypeKit by example and acknowledges Vogen.
the Comparison line names only Thinktecture 10.6.0 and LanguageExt beta-78
#104 (the READMEs show the generated code) and #112 (Metalama introduced where the READMEs first name it) are docs-only. Whether they get a line is the maintainer's call. The section already lists docs changes (the site, the walkthrough, the comparison).
The rest of the section checks out:
24 lines, one per change.
Absolute links (step 2 rewrites them to blob/v2.3.0/).
All 30 merged PRs were compared again. No other gaps, and no duplicate lines. The section is 6,933 characters. #151 and #152 add their own lines if they need one.
Done in #155, merged into release/2.3.0 (ca6f1dd): a ### Fixed section with #102 and #106, SuperStrong.Types and the README introduction, and #104's line.
