Discover movies and TV shows, save your next watch, and keep track of what you’ve seen. Browse without an account, or sign in to build your watchlist and leave personal ratings. Everything runs in your browser—there’s nothing to install.
Originally built for my grade 12 CS class, this project has grown into a personal movie and TV discovery app.
- Discover: Explore trending titles, audience favorites, and upcoming releases.
- Find your next watch: Search movies and TV, filter by genre and release date, and sort by popularity, scores, or rating counts.
- Your library: Save titles, separate movies from TV shows, search and sort your watchlist, and undo removals.
- Watch history: Track what you’ve watched and give it your own five-star rating.
- Title details: See trailers, cast, summaries, TMDB scores and vote counts, and share links to your favorites.
- Made for any screen: Browse on desktop or mobile, with keyboard controls and reduced-motion support.
Vue, Pinia, Vue Router, Vite, Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Hosting, and the TMDB API.
To work on the code, see the development guide for local setup, tests, and deployment. None of these steps are needed to use the live website.
