Merge changes from DNEG internal repo
Pull in recent changes made to the xstudio codebase from the DNEG dev team. We work on our own internal git server so a manual merge is requried to keep the two repos (public and private) synchronised.
The most significant change in this PR is to the logging of failed 'request' messages, which now report the line of code where the error is reported. Also crash reporting is significantly improved with a clearer thread backtrace for where the segfault has happened rather than a dump of multiple thread backtraces as it did before.
