Documentation isn't detailed enough to standup the project

Daniel Krook has tasked me with ensuring this repo is in a good state for code and documentation, however, as the documentation currently stands, it's lacking some important details. Additionally, following the listed steps produce errors and I'm unable to get the code to stand up.
